GREETINGS all you soon to be REBOUNDS,

I know you are all very busy with school--Graduation-- end of the year trips--fond goodbyes and return anticipation. Sarah is already back home in Arcata and all of you have scheduled returns over the next few weeks. What an exciting time this is for you--bittersweet in a way I would imagine. Hello/Goodbye is an emotional time. Another new chapter is about to begin in your lives. It moves so fast--doesn't it.
Only yesterday you were leaving your homes in California for unknown territory on your exchanges. Now you are global citizens--experienced in other cultures and languages--with changed perspectives and new eyes about the world and about yourselves. You are returning to us as different people.
We are excited to welcome you home--to hear your stories--to learn from you.

I want you to put the following date on your calendars and I want you to tell your parents about this date/event.
Your Rotary YE District Committee here on the Northcoast of California is having WELCOME HOME BBQ with DE-BRIEFING SESSIONS
for you Rebounds and your Parents on SATURDAY, AUGUST 2 from 10:00AM to 4:00PM. We will meet at Roger Coate's home in Ukiah for FELLOWSHIP--FUN--FOOD--and CONVERSATION about your exchange. I will send you the address and map a little later.

You, as Rebounds, will have a time alone with the District Committee to share your experiences over the last year at the August 2 event. This is a very important part of the exchange process as it allows you to de-brief your exchange experiences and re-connect with your exchange peers.
Rotary values your feedback as it helps us to understand the challenges of our Exchange Students. We are interested in hearing about the quality of your exchange in other International Districts and what we can do as a District to be of better service. We take your feedback seriously.
The District 5130 YE Committee wants to do the very best we can to insure that the RotaryYouth Exchange Program continues to grow in excellence and support for our Youth Ambassadors. Your feedback is an important piece for the future planning that we do to provide the Training and Preparation for future Exchange Students. Please plan to come to the August 2 event with your parents.

Have a safe journey home. Call me or email me with questions. My contact info is below.
I am looking forward to seeing you all.
With Love and Care,
Sondra
